CSA U17 Talent Acceleration Program. Cricket South Africa’s U17 Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) is a prestigious initiative forming part of the national development pathway, designed to identify the country’s most promising young cricketers with an eye on future U19 World Cup participation.
We are proud to announce that Keegan Gibson (16) was selected to take part in this elite program last month. Initially, Keegan was one of only three U16 players chosen among 22 identified U17 talents from the Titans region.
Following the first camp, Keegan’s exceptional performance earned him a second invitation to Phase Two of the regional camps. Here, he distinguished himself as:
- Indeed one of the nine best U17 players in the Titans group.
- One of the top 25 U17 players across the combined regions of Titans, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Easterns.
We now eagerly await confirmation of whether Keegan will be included in the final CSA U17 national group, which brings together the very best players from across South Africa for a national camp.
This achievement is a testament to Keegan’s talent, dedication, and hard work, and reflects the strength of Midstream College’s cricket programme and the pride of our wider community.
