Creston College Junior Primary. Creston Junior Primary Grade 3s are learning about parasites. Mrs. Bunge taught the Grade 3 learners all about a parasite called Mistletoe. She brought some macadamia branches from her farm to show them how the parasite affects them.
They also learnt about Emperor Penguins and the formation of a letter this week. They wrote to the South African National Antarctic Programme and asked them some questions about Emperor Penguins and what it is like to visit Antarctica. They hope to get a reply soon.
The Creston Junior Primary grade 2s are also very busy. Mrs Bunge’s Grade 2 class had a fun morning learning about 3D shapes. They made shapes from nets and GeoGenius cut outs as well as observing if they roll or slide. They also made some 2D shapes using rubber bands on Geoboards.
