Choir. On Wednesday, 15 June, St Charles College hosted the St John’s Diocesan School choir in the Samukele Khumalo Arena for the two schools’ joint choral event – Night of The Saints.
The evening featured performances from the Junior Primary, Senior Primary and High School choirs, captivating the entire audience with their harmonious voices. Even though the evening was cold, both schools’ choirs brought the heat and lit up the SK Arena with their music.
The Junior Primary St John’s D.S.G. choir established a buzz of excitement with their opening song, featuring impressive vocals from the young ladies before the other choirs added to the growing excitement. The last performance of the night was from the St Charles College Senior School boys. They had the entire crowd singing along to their song ‘We are marching (Siyahamba)’ before closing the show with ‘In the Jungle the Mighty Jungle.’
“None of this would have happened if not for Ms Wepener, Ms Skorpen, Mrs Griffin, Mrs Zartmann and her Culture Council. We can’t wait to see the next Cultural event”. – Khayelihle Nzuza (Grade 12)
