Cheerleading and athletics. Herschel Girls School, Cape Town, is very proud on the recent achievements of two learners, Alice Bailey and Layla MacNaughton. They excelled in athletics and cheerleading.
- Alice was the first female junior athlete to compete in the Don Lock 15km road race.
- Meanwhile, Layla has been selected for the South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association (SAMCA) National Cheerleading team. Layla and her team will represent South Africa at the International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida, USA next year.
