Bulgaria International Mathematics. Cayden Diener, Grade 8 learner from Durban High School, has been selected as a member of one of four official South African teams. They will participate in the Bulgaria International Mathematics Competition (BIMC) 2023.
Only 16 High School scholars in South Africa are selected at the end to make up four teams of four members each. Cayden competed with Grade 8 to 12 scholars. They all took the same tests and received the same training. He will travel to Bloemfontein on the 27th June. There he will start his week of training and preparation before the official contest. It will be written on Monday, 3rd July 2023.
In the past, scholars had to travel to the host country, but due to Covid-19 it will take place on a virtual platform in Bloemfontein. This will be Cayden’s second international contest. He was also selected to compete in the Primary School division last year when it was hosted by Indonesia.
