Kearsney College travelled to Glenwood High School for the weekend basketball fixture, played under sweltering conditions on Glenwood’s outdoor courts.
The visitors came out firing, establishing an early 8-point lead (10–2) by the end of the first quarter. Their defensive intensity continued to stifle Glenwood’s offense, allowing the hosts just three additional points before half-time. Meanwhile, Kearsney kept the scoreboard ticking over, heading into the break with a commanding 31–5 lead.
The oppressive heat began to take its toll in the second half, with Kearsney’s tempo slowing somewhat. They added 29 points after the break, while Glenwood managed to find more rhythm and put up 19. Despite the late surge from the home side, the gap proved too wide to close, and Kearsney secured a comfortable 59–26 victory.
