Maths Olympiad. The Second Round of the Old Mutual SA Mathematics Olympiad was written in May. The St Charles College boys did exceptionally well in this round of the Maths Olympiad. There were 17 boys placed in the top 100 in the province. Â
The following boys placed in top 100 seniors in the province:
- Grade 10:
- Divaar Pillay in Grade 10
2. Grade 11:
- Cameron Beesley
- Sanjay Tallapaneni
- Sebastien le Roux
- Nicholas Oldfield
- Nathan Raubenheimer
3. Grade 12:
- Nikhil Gongal
The following boys placed in the top 100 juniors in the province:

- Matthew Hardman
- Daniel Gurney
- Troy Godle
5. Grade 8:
- James Isaac
- Daniel Morkel
- Yisun NG-Yang
- Kaden Govindasamy
- Vaughn Crabtree
- Tumelo Dube
- Prezlin Govender
In addition, James Isaac had a rating of ‘excellent’, and he was placed in the top 100 nationally. He excelled even further by qualifying to participate in the third round, which was written in July.
