schoolsthatrockAcademic Tours. During the recent school holidays, two groups of Creston College top achievers embarked on academic tours. They visited the UK and Ireland as well as the USA.
The UK and Ireland tour participants were Creston College learners Wasanga Dinga, Lwandile Bhengu, Alfa Pato and Slondiwe Ndwalane. The USA tour participants consisted of Cejay Naidoo, Zowakha Mthuli, Keegan Peterson, Arnaav Luckraj and Olwethu Mbili. Creston College’ Executive Head, Mr. Coetzee, was a chaperone for the USA tour for one of the groups.
These tours, organised by Travel and Sport, offered a blend of academia and adventure. It was an honour for these learners to be invited to participate in this tour, as they qualified for the opportunity back in 2022. The tour was an opportunity to experience some remarkable places in the USA, UK, and Ireland. From visiting iconic landmarks like the White House, Kennedy Space Centre, Universal Orlando Resort, to exploring prestigious Universities such as Harvard, Princeton, MIT and Yale, their trip was filled with enriching experiences.
The tour also included cultural highlights like the Blue Man Show, MIT Museum, and visits to significant museums like the Museum of Natural History and the British Museum. It’s evident that this journey offered a unique blend of learning and fun, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
