Inter-house Spelling Bee – Crawford International College

Inter-house Spelling Bee. Learners proved their abilities at the Crawford International College Inter-house Spelling Bee Competition! 20 Valiant and Eclectic contestants across the four houses proved their mettle and aptitude by participating in the 2023 Inter-house Spelling Bee Competition.

With two rounds for each participant in each grade, as well as two Sudden Death rounds, the indomitable spellers proved to be anything but inept. The three final bonus rounds saw some unique words. Some students vacillated between different spelling options. Ventus prevailed in the Grade 8 round. Terra proved victorious for the Grade 9s and Ignis earning the lead in Grade 10. Ventus once again, triumphed in the Grade 11 group, and Terra took the honours in Grade 12.

All four houses are also to be commended for their spirit and magnanimous enthusiasm. Ignis also conferred two additional points for having unsurpassed table embellishments! There can be no ambiguity in the assurance that everyone had a lot of jollification! The students also proved to be pertinacious in their camaraderie and exuberance.

In the end, Terra scored 1 point, Ignis scored 4 points and Aqua scored 5 points. With much rapaciousness, the winner of the 2023 Interhouse Spelling Bee was Ventus, with 9 points. Ventus, you were unBEElievable!

To celebrate their new-found notoriety, Ventus took proud possession of Mr Spelling Bee. With suitable yellow attire, it will proudly take its place amongst the other trophies in the foyer until next year when the houses battle it again.
