Before the announcement of St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, high-performance aquatics centre, the swimming programme at St Charles College has been developing steadily. Good seed has been sown by both current and former staff with hard work, dedication, commitment and consistency being put into the swimming programme at our school.
Last week at the TWC prep school gala, St Charles’ swimming team was at its best. Every stroke practiced during the early morning sessions, were much improved. The new initiatives, combined with the already well-established programme, delivered when it mattered. Mr Gregg Cole-Edwardes says, ‘’It was as if the whole arena was cheering for the Blue and Gold.’’
“We are proud of these boys for taking the top spot on the podium. Well done boys and thank you staff. We are watching closely to see who will join Old Boy, Matthew Sates, on the world stage.” – Mr Divan van Wyk (Sports Marketing).
