Hoërskool Strand. Die graad 8’s van Hoërskool Strand het onlangs ‘n groot geleentheid beleef. Hulle kon vir die eerste keer, met trots, hulle Hoërskool Strand skoolbaadjies aantrek. By dieselfde geleentheid het die matrieks weer op hul beurt die voorreg gehad het om die spierwit Matriektrui oor die kop te trek.

Elke ‘kuiken’ was die individuele geleentheid gegun om op die verhoog te verskyn. Dan het hulle die baadjie aangetrek en tesame met die lui van die klok hul eerste ware toetrede tot hoërskool aan te kondig. Die lui van die klok sal in matriek die laaste dag van skool weer aankondig.

Na afloop van die verrigtinge het die ‘kuikens’ uit volle bors die skoollied en die kuikenkreet aan Matriekklas 2023 opgedra.

Strand High School. The Grade 8s from Strand High School recently experienced a big event. For the first time, they were able to proudly put on their Strand High School jackets. On the same occasion, the matrics in turn also had the privilege of pulling the pure white Matric jersey over the head.

Each ‘chick’ was also given the individual opportunity to appear on stage. Then they donned the jacket and, along with the ringing of the bell, also announced their first true entry into high school. The ringing of the bell will again also announce the last day of school in matric.

Following the proceedings, the ‘chicks’ also dedicated the school song and the ‘chick cry’ to the Matric Class 2023.
