Schools That Rock chat to Edgemead High School’s 1st XV Rugby Captain

“I started playing rugby at the age 8 years.

Positions I played and still playing is wing. I am the captain of the 1st XV Rugby team as well as the athletics team.

My exercise routine: Together as a team we do a lot of sprint training for rugby, tyre flips and pushing tyres. Conditioning our body through tackling. At home I do pushups and sit-ups, and also some squats. Other sports I am participating in is Athletics.

I prefer doing team sport.

As a captain I try to bring things together if things are not going to plan. I am trying to help the team in the best possible way and as much as one can. Being a servant-leader.

I want to still do sport after school. I want to try and play at the highest level possible in the best team possible.”
