schoolsthatrockTwo young Graaff-Reinet dancers who attend Union High School, Leah Marais and Lulibo Pietersen, recently took part in their yearly AIDT (Association of International Dance Teachers) exams in Modern and Tap dancing.
The girls were privileged to have Mrs Erna Ackerman from Cape Town as their examiner.
Leah passed her Preliminary Junior Modern exam (92%) as well as her Silver Lower Tap exam (93%) with distinction, while Lulibo’s 82% in her Preliminary Junior Modern Exam saw her passing the exam with honours.
Lulibo and Leah are both privately trained in dance by the Chinelle School of Dancing in Graaff-Reinet.
Union High School is incredibly proud of their achievements in dance borne from hard work and commitment to their art form.
Any budding young dancers wanting to follow similar dreams have excellent and accessible role models in Lulibo and Leah.
