Buffels after their victory

On Friday, 13 March, a stampede of Buffels rushed around the school’s corridors carrying pillows, sleeping bags and snacks ready to embark on the journey to Matatiele! ANHS’ sport teams took to the busses and drove along the foothills of the western Drakensberg to play against King Edward High school in Matatiele.

ANHS’ teams out did themselves! Here are the results of the weekend:

Netball: The U/16 girls won 15-8. Alies’ first team had the game of their lives and came out victorious with a marvellous score of 30-12. Well done girls!

Hockey: Alies’ second team played their first game of the season and it ended in a draw 0 -0. The first team played a tough match and managed to beat King Edward 2-1.

Rugby: The U/14 boys put up a cricket score of 68-5! Well done, gents! The U/16 team also made Alies proud when they beat the King Edward side 28 – 5. The Buffels’ match, like always, was the highlight of the trip and they played beautiful rugby. They beat King Edward’s first team 14 – 5!
