Eight Glenwood boys were part of the KZN Invitational Team that travelled to Grey College this past weekend.
The athletes that participated in Bloemfontein were a real credit to the school, and most achieved a season or personal best performance on the day. They had a professional approach to their warm-up and participation that was noted by many.
With over 1000 athletes, from all over South Africa the competition was tough. In some events there were as many as 32 competitors.
The following boys need recognition for their outstanding performances:
Waldt Dreyer (boys U15)
SP: 1st 16,59m (a new school record)
Discuss: 2nd 51,08m (a new school rec., the old record was 44, 85 m set in 1996)
Tino Gwatidzo (boys u17)
HJ: 3rd 1.80m
TJ: 4th 12,32m
Freddie Slabbert (boys u16)
LJ: 2nd 6,52m (school rec 6,53m) L
110m Hurdles 4th 14,96s (new school rec)
Sifiso Mvimbe (boys u14)
100m: 4th 11.32

U 15: H Gouws (400m : 11th)
U16: L Goge (800m : 8th)
