School Boy Cricket. St Andrew’s College vs Queen’s College – Match Report.
The St Andrew’s College, Gqeberha, 1st XI delivered a dominant all-round performance to secure a convincing victory over Queen’s College, Komani, in their away fixture in Komani this past weekend.
After winning the toss, Queen’s College elected to bat but were immediately put under pressure by a disciplined St Andrew’s bowling attack. Struggling to build partnerships on a challenging surface, Queen’s were dismissed for just 54 in 33.5 overs.
The standout with the ball was William Stevens, who produced an outstanding spell of 3/6 from 6 overs, applying relentless pressure at the top of the innings. He was well supported by Adrian Gaunt, who claimed 3/13 in a fine display of controlled seam bowling.
In reply, St Andrew’s approached the chase with patience and composure. Despite the loss of an early wicket, Connor Holder and Rhys Wiblin combined for a match-winning partnership. Holder led the way with a confident 54 off 70 balls, striking seven boundaries. Wiblin anchored the innings superbly with an unbeaten 47 off 71 balls. St Andrew’s reached 129/4 in 27 overs, sealing a comprehensive victory.

- Junior Colts A, 3rd XI, and 4th XI all secured comfortable victories.
- The Colts A were denied by rain in Komani while in a dominant position.
