Camps Bay High School is bursting with pride as it celebrates its exceptional Grade 11 learner. Ryley is set to fly the South African flag high at four major international competitions across three continents. His dedication, talent, and tenacity have earned him a place among the world’s elite young athletes — and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
August 31 – Hungary
World Canoe Marathon Championships. Ryley will take on the globe’s finest paddlers in both the Short Course and Doubles events. This grueling test of endurance and strategy will see him navigating the waters of Hungary with precision and power.
September – Czech Republic
Olympic Hopes Canoe Sprint. A prestigious event spotlighting the next generation of Olympic talent. Ryley will represent South Africa in high-speed sprint races, showcasing his explosive strength and technical finesse.
October – Durban
World Surf Ski Championships. Back on home turf, Ryley will compete against top-tier surf ski paddlers from around the world. His ability to adapt across disciplines will be on full display as he rides the waves with confidence and control.
November – New Zealand
World Lifesaving Championships. Rounding off an extraordinary year, Ryley heads to New Zealand to compete in lifesaving — a sport that blends athleticism with a deep commitment to safety and service. His participation reflects not only his physical prowess but his character and compassion.
