National Interprovincial Tournament (IPT). Southern Free State U16B Team Shines with Silver at National IPT
The Southern Free State U16B Girls’ Hockey Team delivered a spectacular performance at the National Interprovincial Tournament (IPT) held in Durban, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination across seven competitive matches.
Comprised of talented players from Eunice, OMS, St. Michael’s, Fichardtpark, Brebner, and Sentraal, the team from Bloemfontein played outstanding hockey throughout the tournament and proudly clinched the silver medal.
We extend heartfelt congratulations to the entire team—and special recognition to their dynamic coaching duo:
- 🏑 Ms Jo-nelke Swanepoel, Head of Sport at Eunice and coach of the Eunice U16A Hockey team.
- 🎓 Ms Callista Dunn, team manager, an Eunice alumna and current student at the University of the Free State.

- vs Limpopo A: 7–0
- vs Northern Free State A: 6–1
- vs Border A: 5–1
- vs Eastern Gauteng B: 3–0
- vs Northwest A: 3–3
- 🏆 Semi-final: Beat Eden A 4–0
- 🏅 Final: Drew against KZN Inlands B 1–1 After a tense shootout, KZN clinched the gold 5–4.
