Netbal-talente skitter nasionaal. Plasie netbaltalente skitter nasionaal tydens vakansie-toernooie.
Merensky Landbou Akademie, Tzaneen, se netbaldogters het Limpopo met ware toewyding en trots verteenwoordig tydens twee spogtoernooie gedurende die wintervakansie – die All Ages Toernooi in Boksburg en die Telkom Toernooi in Kaapstad.
🔹 ALL AGES TOERNOOI – BOKSBURG
- Juffrou Olerato Molapo het haar eerste toernooi as afrigter van die o.12 Morula-span afgesluit met puik leierskap. Die jong span het 20ste van 23 spanne geëindig.
- Chané Fourie, onderkaptein van die o.14 Morula-span, het haar span gehelp om ‘n indrukwekkende 6de plek uit 22 spanne te behaal.
- Zané Vosloo, onderkaptein van die o.15 Mopani-span, het ‘n 10de plek ingepalm uit ‘n kompetisie van 24 spanne.
- Karla Kotzé, kaptein van die o.16 Mopani-span, het saam met Anchen Human en Henriëtte Steenkamp hul span tot ‘n 15de plek gelei.
- Welmi Joubert het saam met die o.16 Morula-span, onder leiding van Juffrou Marili Korff, ‘n stewige 7de plek behaal.
- Mev. Ansie Combrink het ‘n sleutelrol gespeel as Limpopo se logistieke bestuurder en afrigters-evalueerder vir die o.16-spanne.
🔹 TELKOM TOERNOOI – KAAPSTAD (7–11 JULIE)
Ten spyte van koue en nat toestande, het die Plasies hul vasberadenheid ten toon gestel by Hoërskool DF Malan – selfs gespeel in die reën én donker.
- Lydia de Souza, enigste Plasie in die o.17 Morula-span, het saam met haar span 8ste geëindig.
- Zenya Engelbrecht, Hillmari Kruger en Alissa Venter het Mopani in die o.19-afdeling verteenwoordig. Hul span het 7de geëindig, met Alissa as kaptein.
- Dineo en Tsegofatso het hul slag gewys in die o.18 Morula-span, wat 15de van 20 spanne geëindig het.

🟦 PLASIE NETBALL TALENT SHINES NATIONALLY DURING HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT 📍 Boksburg and Cape Town – June/July 2025
Merensky Agricultural Academy’s netball girls made Limpopo proud by showing grit and sportsmanship at two provincial showpieces during the winter break: the All Ages Tournament in Boksburg and the Telkom Tournament in Cape Town.
🔹 ALL AGES TOURNAMENT – BOKSBURG
- Ms Olerato Molapo led the U12 Morula team with warmth and wisdom in their first tournament, placing 20th out of 23 teams.
- Chané Fourie, vice-captain of the U14 Morula team, helped secure an impressive 6th place out of 22 teams.
- Zané Vosloo, vice-captain of the U15 Mopani team, contributed to a solid 10th place finish in a 24-team bracket.
- Karla Kotzé, captain of the U16 Mopani team, teamed up with Anchen Human and Henriëtte Steenkamp to land a 15th place spot.
- Welmi Joubert played in the U16 Morula team coached by Ms Marili Korff, earning a noteworthy 7th place.
- Mrs Ansie Combrink held dual roles as Limpopo’s logistics manager and coaches evaluator for the U16 teams.
🔹 TELKOM TOURNAMENT – CAPE TOWN (7–11 JULY)
Despite harsh weather, the Plasies bravely played through cold, rain and darkness at DF Malan High School.
- Lydia de Souza, the only Plasie in the U17 Morula team, clinched an 8th place finish with her squad.
- Zenya Engelbrecht, Hillmari Kruger and Alissa Venter represented Mopani in the U19 division, placing 7th. Alissa led the team as captain.
- Dineo and Tsegofatso fought valiantly for the U18 Morula team, which ended 15th out of 20 teams.
🎉 Congratulations to our talented netball girls, coaches, and support crew. You carried Merensky’s name with honour and flew the Plasie flag high!
