Schools Cricket. The Somerset College Schools Cricket season concluded with an exciting match between the Somerset College 1st XI and the Somerset College Old Oaks. The Old Oaks batted first, with Phil Taberer – Class of 2007 (51*) and Tyrone Rieth – Class of 2024 – (52*) forming a strong partnership, guiding their team to a competitive total of 159-5 in 20 overs. In response, the Somerset College 1st XI came out with aggressive intent, as Owethu Moyi (60*) and Callum Hughes (62*) led a solid chase, reaching 162-1 in just 16 overs to win comfortably.

A special moment of the day was Troy Varie celebrating his 50th cap for the Somerset College 1st XI.
