Jason Murray Water Polo. This past weekend the Clarendon High School for Girls U14 and U15 water polo teams participated in the Selborne Jason Murray Water Polo Tournament. They are proud to share the results of their hard work.
The U14s, the team had a strong start with the following results:
- Clarendon U14s vs Merrifield: won 5-1
- Clarendon U14s vs Collegiate: lost 3-4
- Clarendon U14s vs DSG: won 6-2
- Clarendon U14s vs Woodridge: won 6-2
- Clarendon U14s vs Hudsonpark: won 11-1
These results placed the U14 team second in their pool.
On Saturday, 22 February, they advanced to the semi-finals and secured an 8-6 win over Stirling High School. They moved on to the finals but were narrowly defeated 7-6 in penalties by Collegiate Girls’ High School.
The U15 invitational team also had an impressive showing, with the following results:
- Clarendon U15s vs Stirling: won 3-2
- Clarendon U15s vs Pearson: won 9-1
- Clarendon U15s vs Hudson: won 4-2
- Clarendon U15s vs DSG: won 9-0
The U15s went on to beat DSG 5-2 in a playoff match, finishing 9th overall in the tournament.
A special congratulations to Thandi Bosman, who was named Defender of the Tournament—an incredible individual achievement!
