Schools Sport. While Game Day against Hilton College was full of action, St Charles College also had some notable schools sports performances during last week. The athletes, competed in the Aquellé Series and the Squash players took part in the Top 8 league. The coveted Team of The Week award which is announced every Tuesday by the College’s Principal, Mr Allen van Blerk, has many contenders last week.
The 1st team golf, for their outstanding performance against Michaelhouse at the manicured Bosch Hoek Golf Club. Also the U14A basketball for a pulsating fixture which was decided by a 3-pointer on the final hooter. The SCC Estates team, led by international pitch curator, Evan Flint, for producing magnificent wickets despite all the rain. The U15A cricket team showed exceptional courage and bonding as a team after a character-testing tour to the Western Cape. The boys enjoyed some great domestic results. Finally, the team of boys who volunteered and served at the Midmar Mile over the course of the weekend.
It has been another special week of sport for the boys in Blue and Gold.
