Schools Water Polo. The highly anticipated fixture between Kearsney College and Hilton College saw an intense Schools Water Polo battle in the pool. With both teams eager to assert dominance early in the season, the game was a thrilling contest.
The first chukka started with Hilton showing their intent, keeping Kearsney on their toes. By the end of the chukka, Hilton had a 5-2 lead. Kearsney fought back in the second chukka, closing the gap slightly with a 4-2 scoreline, bringing the half-time tally to 9-4 in Hilton’s favour.
The third chukka saw Kearsney pushing harder, outscoring Hilton 3-2, taking the game to a one-point difference of 9-8 to Hilton. With everything to play for in the final chukka, both teams fought valiantly, scoring two goals apiece to end the match with a thrilling 11-11 draw.
