Executive Head Barlow Park – Curro Schools

Executive Head Barlow Park. Curro Holdings, the JSE-listed independent education provider, has announced the appointment of Bongani Hlope as Executive Head of Curro Barlow Park in the burgeoning Barlow Park precinct of Sandton, Johannesburg.

Hlope, has previously served for four years as Head of High School at Northriding College. He is well positioned to lead Curro Barlow Park, which is a Curro DigiEd school. Before joining Northriding College, he was the IT and robotics subject head. He was also head of a grade, and mathematics teacher at Curro Foreshore, the first Curro DigiEd school. Hlope holds a BCom in Economic Science. Furthermore he has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a BA Honours in Development Studies, and is currently pursuing a BSc in Computer Science.

Curro DigiEd Schools provide an innovative, technologically advanced option for high-school learners. With a focus on e-learning, a longer school day, small classes and affordable fees while maintaining high academic standards, the Curro DigiEd offering is increasing in popularity and more schools are planned.

Designing digital school systems

Alongside his leadership experience and 10 years of teaching, Hlope has expertise in designing digital school systems and web-based applications, as well as working with compliance agencies.
