2025 Sixth Form Stars. Celebrating their 2025 Sixth Form Stars 🎉
Maritzburg College proudly congratulates our Sixth Form learners on their outstanding achievements in the IEB’s prestigious Further Studies examinations.
This year, eleven boys undertook Further Studies Mathematics and two boys pursued Further Studies Physics—rigorous courses benchmarked against the UK GCE Advanced (A) Level standard and recognised internationally.
We are delighted to celebrate the exceptional success of four young men who distinguished themselves:
- Michael Brunkhorst – Achieved A’s in both subjects, with an extraordinary 95% in Further Studies Mathematics
- Daniel Brunkhorst – Earned A’s in both Further Studies Mathematics and Physics
- Christopher Mundell – Secured an A in Further Studies Mathematics with an impressive 91%
- Saiushan Naidoo – Awarded an A in Further Studies Mathematics
These advanced courses, quality-assured by Stellenbosch University’s Unit for International Credentialing and certified by the IEB, prepare learners for tertiary studies in Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, and Actuarial Science. They cultivate independent learning and critical thinking—skills essential for success both in South Africa and abroad.
