Merrifield College, East London, is bursting with pride as its phenomenal Debating Team has been crowned the 2025 National Debating Champions. It took place at the prestigious High School National Debating Championships held in Durban this past week!
A massive congratulations to the brilliant minds: Paxton Luyt and Rebekah du Preez, whose eloquence and insight led them to victory. Merrifield also celebrates the unwavering guidance of Borys Karbowy, teacher in charge, as well as the dedicated support of Ms Pearce. Their leadership and mentorship made this triumph possible.
