“I am a student at Eunice Girls High in South Africa, and theatre is my happy place. I am also an avid squash player, hoping to one day represent my country internationally. “World Monologue Games is a global acting competition and virtual showcase, allowing professional and budding actors from anywhere in the world to participate from their homes. Thousands of performers from scores of countries participate in this epic acting competition and virtual showcase. Our key aim is to provide access to any actor in the world who’d like to participate and to create great entertainment for our viewers.
WMG does more than wave the “diversity and inclusivity” flag. We have built true equality into the framework of the event. Not only can all performers join us as equals, irrespective of age, race, gender, sexuality, beliefs, identity, and even language, we have removed the geographic and economic barriers which prevent the majority of actors worldwide from participating in the industry. We offer everyone a free entry and we emphasise performance over technology, so anyone with a phone/camera and internet connection can take part without disadvantage. The best performers will be livestreamed in our Regional and Global Finals.”
