The Treverton Athletes, Mooi River, excel at the Puma School of Speed Athletics Meeting.  The PUMA SCHOOL OF SPEED meetings are the initiative of the great Usain Bolt the best and fastest sprinter of all times. World records 100m 9, 58 and 200m 19, 19. Bolt has done this to promote athletics amongst the youth throughout the world. It is his way of giving back to the sport he has loved and excelled in. South Africa hosts 5 such events and Saturday was Durban’s turn.
16 Treverton College, Mooi River in KZN, athletes participated on Saturday 13 February, producing outstanding results. Many PB’s were achieved. Athletes were allowed to do 1 event only, plus a relay. Treverton athletes returned with 14 medals, 6 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze.

Michaela Licen:Â u/15 200m – 27,30s

Gemma’s result is excellent as she is actually a field athlete who excels in the throwing events and is an outstanding Hockey Goalkeeper. This meeting does not offer the throws so she elected to run a track event instead.
