Rugby 7s. Yesterday, 2 September, Maritzburg College hosted the Nashua Midlands Rugby 7s as part of their annual Family Day.

Thousands of boys, parents, old boys and staff came together in what has been described as the best rugby 7s tournament of the season. It was a fantastic family day gathering on Goldstone’s.

The rugby7s action was excellent with the #RedBlackWhite teams making it through to both final rounds. College’s U18 team took on Northwood in the final match losing narrowly 7-10. The Maritzburg College U15 side won their final match against Michaelhouse 26-15.

This bring to an end the 2023 Winter Sport season – which has been a great one for Maritzburg College. Maritzburg’s send best wishes to the 6th formers who played their last match on Goldstone’s, and now face their final examinations.
