2017 Kicked off to a sizzling start at Kimberley Boys High with our fields looking greener than ever before, and more boys joining our cricket teams.

The u15’s kicked off the year with the first game against DHS. They batted first and scored 154/6, then our boys went in and were bowled out for a disappointing 69 runs. The first game of the year did not go very well, however, we saw spectacular cricket from Tokelo Maditse and Simon Brown.

 
On the 30th of January, the u15s faced a very young House of Cricket side at KHS Main field. We won the toss and elected to bowl first. We bowled them out for 92 runs. Tumelo Moncho had the best bowling figures on the day. KHS then went on to bat and managed to reach the score having just lost 3 wickets. 


The next game was the u19 nail biter against DHS 2 at KHS Main. They batted first and scored 124/5. Wickets were taken by Sipho Hlithana (2), Lubabalo Nonkonyana (2) and Mhlatyana Ntintelo (1). We then went on to bat and only managed to score 119/8 after 20 overs. It was a very close game. 


The u15s next game was against CBC at KHS. We managed to bowl CBC out for 55 and were able to chase that score with little difficulty. 
 The RCL challenged the KHS teachers to a t20 on the 08th of February. The teachers won the toss and chose to bowl first. The RCL were bowled out for 116. The teachers then went on to bat and managed to reach the score losing just 5 wickets. Well done KHS teachers!!!


On the 9th of February, our u19 played against a Combined Team. KHS batted first and were bowled out for 87. Resegofaditswe Mothibi contributed 30 runs to that total. Our bowlers then went on and managed to bowl the visitors out for 56. Resegofaditswe Mothibi and Maseng Morake showed superb bowling.
