Earth’s Tiniest Explorers. The Grade Rs of Creston College Curro in Port Shepstone, rounded off their theme on insects with an adventurous and very exciting Nature walk to find the Earth’s Tiniest Explorers.
Each child had their own nature check list, to keep track of all the insects, flowers, leaves, animals as well as anything they saw which they found to be interesting. They started their walk at the Pre-school, walked through the Senior Primary, over the top field, through part of the cross-country course and ended the walk at the Dezzi viewing deck. The children then had a picnic and ate their snack on the deck.
The learners had a wonderful time, they found bees, birds, butterflies, beautiful trees, plants, snails, ants and more. Once the children got back to class, they then created beautiful landscape artworks expressing their Nature walk experience.
