Cricket Action Shrewsbury Festival – Grey College kicked off with a thrilling day one at the Cricket Action Shrewsbury Festival. They went head-to-head with the hosts, Shrewsbury School. From the first delivery to the final over, they showcased determination, skill, and schoolboy cricket at its most competitive.
Grey College brought intensity and heart to the field, showing real fighting spirit against a disciplined Shrewsbury side. Despite their grit and some standout individual performances, Grey ultimately fell just short, with Shrewsbury sealing a well-earned victory thanks to a composed team effort.
Player Spotlight – Man of the Match: A huge congratulations to Henru de Wet for his outstanding all-round display. He led from the front with the bat, scoring a confident 66 runs, and then delivered with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 48 runs in his 10 overs. His performance at the cricket action Shrewsbury Festival was a beacon of resilience and class. It rightly earned him the Man of the Match honours.
