Creativity is nurtured – Grantleigh Schools

Creativity is nurtured. 🌟Grantleigh Learners Dazzle on the National Curro Create Stage.

At Grantleigh Schools, KZN, creativity isn’t just encouraged—it’s celebrated. This year, four talented learners have stepped into the national spotlight. They earned top honors in the prestigious Curro Create platform. Their success is a testament to the power of imagination, mentorship, and a school culture that nurtures the creative spirit.

🎨 Where Creativity Takes Flight

Children are born creators—curious minds with boundless ideas. At Curro, this innate creativity is not just preserved but cultivated. Through the dynamic Curro Create initiative, learners from across the country are given the tools, guidance, and freedom to explore their artistic passions in a space that values authenticity over competition.

From fine art to photography, from stage performance to digital game design, Curro Create is also a national platform that connects young visionaries with seasoned professionals. It’s a place where learners don’t just dream—they do.

🦸‍♂️ The Curro Arts Superhero Project: A Stage for Every Story

One of the flagship programmes under Curro Create is the Curro Arts Superhero (CAS) project. Open to learners from Grade 4 and up, CAS invites students to submit their creative work for thoughtful, mentorship-driven feedback. Here, the focus isn’t on winning—it’s on growth. Each piece is evaluated on its own merit, honoring the learner’s unique voice and journey.

The highest accolade? The Kryptonite certificate and blazer badge—awarded only to those whose work scores between 95–100%. It’s a rare and radiant achievement.

📸 Grantleigh’s Kryptonite Quartet

This year, Grantleigh College is beaming with pride as four of its learners earned Kryptonite status in the Shoot It! photography category:

  • Elize Senekal
  • Jade McDuling
  • Simphiwe Mthethwa
  • Yoné Nel

Their lens captured more than just images—they captured imagination, emotion, and excellence.

🚀 Beyond the Classroom, Into the Future

At its heart, Curro Create is more than an arts programme. It’s a launchpad for self-discovery, a sanctuary for expression, and a training ground for tomorrow’s creative leaders. Grantleigh’s success in this space reflects a broader commitment to nurturing not just academic achievement, but emotional intelligence, confidence, and individuality.

To the young artists of Grantleigh: keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep shining. The world is your canvas.
