SA School’s Swimming Championships. Eunice High School’s swimming champion, Leila Yazbek, won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals. She represented the Free State at the National SA School’s Swimming Championships in Gqeberha!
Leila, (U15), was crowned SA Schools Champion in the 100m fly, 50m fly and 50m freestyle at the championships. She also won silver in the 100m freestyle, bronze in the 4×50 freestyle relay and another bronze in the 4×50 medley relay.
The Eunice Free State team representatives who competed at the SA’s, were:
- Vera Chen (U.16) – 8th in the 100m breaststroke, 10th in the 200m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke
- Chanel Baënhoff (U17) – bronze in the 100m backstroke, 4th in the 200m backstroke, 5th in the 50m backstroke and 50m fly.
