schoolsthatrockGlobal House Music Eisteddfod. At the end of September seven of St Charles College’ voice students entered the Global House of Music Eisteddfod.
An eisteddfod is a unique opportunity for performers to get feedback from a highly qualified music professional. The Global House of Music Eisteddfod was entered online. It was open to performers of all ages and at all levels. The vocalists were judged by Dr Christo Jankowitz. He is the resident professor at Global House of Music, Johannesburg. He also holds a Doctorate in Music from the University of Witwatersrand. Each performer received a report focusing mainly on posture, accuracy, style, and character.
St Charles College’ boys worked incredibly hard to produce the best entries they could. The boys achieved outstanding results:
- Matthew Urquhart Grade 8 voice – GOLD
- Angus Edkins Grade 5 voice – GOLD
- Graydon Mustard Grade 4 voice – GOLD
- Sbusiso Mtsweni Grade 4 voice – SILVER
- Joshua Visser Grade 3 voice – BRONZE
- Justin Cook Grade 2 voice – GOLD
- Okwakho Mzileni Grade 2 voice – SILVER
