Irish World Dance Championships – Mackenzie Callen excels

Irish World Dance Championships. Talented Mackenzie Callen from Curro Aurora, Randburg, spent the last few weeks in Belfast Ireland. She was dancing up a storm in the 50^th Anniversary Championships. Mackenzie was placed 4^th overall for the age group but also qualified to compete at the Irish dance world championships.

Mackenzie a Grade 8 learner of Curro Aurora has been dancing since the age of five, competed in both solo and team dances. Her ‘figure’ team dance was the first ‘figure’ team from South Africa to take to ever grace the Irish stage and they achieved excellent results by winning the 1^st Championship title, a real dream come true.
