schoolsthatrockSoftball. Ameerah Hank and Zoe Pestana from Curro Aurora, Randburg Gauteng, have been selected for the Gauteng u/15 softball team. They will be playing at the Summer Games National School’s Championship in December. They follow in the footsteps of many Curro Aurorians that have represented provincial and district teams at high and primary school level.
The Curro Aurora High School 1st and u/15 teams play in the Johannesburg Softball Association Summer League. The 1st team have won all their league matches since 2014 and the u/15s have won most of their games, just drawing and losing once.
The primary school has a senior team including u/13s and u/12s and a junior team of u/11s and u/10s and an u/9 team.
Executive Head, JC Engelbrecht, added that these achievements are the result of hard work done by teachers and coaches. Despite the impact of COVID19, they ensured that no leaner is left behind. They continuously create opportunities for learners to participate in and excel in the activity of their choice.
