schoolsthatrockMelonie Croeser from Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School, will be participating in both the singles and doubles events at the 2020 South African Marathon Championships on Sunday 11 October (Single Canoe Marathon) and Monday 12 October (Double Canoe Marathon).
Marathon racing is the most popular discipline in South Africa canoeing, and a vibrant calendar of events takes advantage of the many excellent paddling rivers and flat-water courses across the country.
Melonie has also recently participated in a few events, with results as follows:
Race 9 Augustus
1st Woman and 19th overall, beating two U18 female paddlers
Race 6 September
1st in U16, 2nd in U18 and 3rd Woman (36th overall)
Race 20 September
1st Woman (and 41 overall)
