St Andrew’s School for Girls teach the younger learners the Meerkat Motto: Respect the elders, teach the young, cooperate with the family, play when you can, work when you should, rest in between, share your affection, voice your feelings, and leave your mark. We can all learn a great deal from these little creatures; and our Executive Head, Ivanka Acquisto, donated a meerkat-family statue which she had created by hand. It stands outside the Junior School Library as a sweet reminder of the meerkats’ values we should uphold.
