Glenwood High School welcomes Daniel Beaumont in 2021

Glenwood High School, Durban, is pleased to welcome old boy, Craig Beaumont and his son Daniel to Glenwood in 2021!
Craig attended Glenwood from 1995 to 1999. He was a Gibson boarder who only went home once a term, as his parents lived in Botswana at the time.
Craig was an active boy at school being part of the swimming team, he played water polo, rugby, squash, cricket and athletics.
He went on to complete his Engineering Design Draughting studies in Durban and gained work experience at the Diamond mines of Botswana.
He returned to South Africa in 2004 and continued working as carrier as a Projects specialist. During this time, he started a family with his wife Carmel and together they have two amazing children: daughter Marquesas (Grade 9) and son Daniel (Grade 7).
In 2008, he was selected to Study International trade management through the Swedish Trade council in Sweden, where he achieved his International Diploma.
In 2009, he was selected as a winner in the South African National business launch pad competition.
Currently he is employed by an International O.E.M (Original Equipment Manufacturer) as the Projects Department Manager, who manages various Engineering project teams in South Africa and Mozambique and he “thoroughly enjoys working closely with and motivating my teams”.
During his time with the company, he received two international Innovation awards within his organization in 2017 and 2019.
His son, Daniel has been attending Mtunzini Primary school from Grade 1 and is now in Grade 7. He enjoys Swimming, Rugby, Athletics and Cricket. Daniel has made the King Cetshwayo District Swimming team in 2018 and 2019. He received the school Victor Ludorum and Individual medley trophies this year. Daniel would like to one day represent his country in the Olympics and pursue a career as an Engineer.
Craig says: “I strongly believe that Glenwood High shaped me into the man I am today and gave me the tools to achieve my goals and become independent. My wife and I chose Glenwood because we believe that Daniel will be in good hands and will be guided on his path to success.”
