Academic Awards presented at Union High School

Academic Bars were awarded to the following Grade 6 learners based on the Grade 5 results of 2019:Amber Bezuidenhout, Ciara Kivedo, Anebel Norval, Josh Arends, Samantha Charles, Bradley Davenport,
Jade Palmer and Katelyn Trollip.

Union High School’s annual assembly to acknowledge the learners who had attained high academic successes during the course of last year was held earlier on, Friday, 17 January 2020.

Academic Bars were awarded to the following Grade 7 learners based on the Grade 6 results of 2019: Sasha Cochrane, Tara Ferreira, Zara Douman-Deysel (Re-award), Erin Gedult (Re-award), Megan Nortjé (Re-award), Matthew Paxton (Re-award) and Emma Short (Re-award).
Academic Bars were awarded to the following Grade 8 learners based on the Grade 7 results of 2019: Terry Mabuni, Jayden Swart, Charlize Vorster, Na’eem Mahomed (Re-award), Caytah-Leigh Koeberg (Re-award) and Sadé May (Re-award).
Academic Ties were awarded to the following Grade 9 learners based on the Grade 8 results of 2019: Cadee Arends, Lana Bouwer, Siyamthanda Desha, Tayla Kingwill, Siphosethu Malotana, Gemma Naude, Brigette Oelofsen, Anna Pringle, Soyana Sinazo, Caitrin Spence and Trinity West.
Academic Ties were awarded to the following Grade 10 learners based on the Grade 9 results of 2019: Kathryn Odendaal, Matthew Basson (Re-award), Amber Binney (Re-award), Hannah Bodenstein (Re-award), Kendall Krige (Re-award), Matthew McNaughton (Re-award) and Chloe Shires (Re-award).
Full Colours were awarded to the following Grade 11 learners based on the Grade 10 results of 2019: Kyle-Luke du Preez, James Rose-Innes and Hannah Watermeyer.
Half Colours were awarded to the following Grade 11 learners based on the Grade 10 results of 2019: Amzolele Relu and Melissa Swart.
Full Colours were awarded to the following Grade 12 learners based on the Grade 11 results of 2019: Matthew Hesselink (Re-award), Katherine Imrie (Re-award), Sara Kingwill (Re-award), Bowen Langmead (Re-award), Laetitia Theron (Re-award) and Deger Williams (Re-award).
Half Colours were awarded to the following Grade 12 learners based on the Grade 11 results of 2019: Meghan Basson, Sakhe Booi, Erin Mitchell and Micaela Te Water Naude.
