schoolsthatrockOn Thursday, 15 August, Gerda Clarke, a Grade 3 learner at Union Preparatory School, participated in her first ever Karoo Eisteddfod in De Aar. The Karoo Eisteddfod is an art initiative to encourage the children of the Central Karoo to explore and express themselves artistically. Gerda, who was tutored and entered by her mom, Mrs. Anna Clarke, did exceptionally well, and was awarded with a gold and silver award respectively for her two piano solos.
Gerda enjoyed the experience tremendously and hope to enter other categories as well next year.
