Miss Christelle van Eck
It was a very special week for Union Pre-School’s Miss Christelle van Eck for two reasons.
First, she was chosen to serve on the national committee that will be selecting the members of the South Africa team to represent the country at the Swedish Shooting Sports Federation’s 2020 Swedish Cup to be held in Sävsjö, Sweden.
A tremendous honour indeed and one which speaks very highly of her capabilities as a sharpshooter.
Secondly, the week also saw her participating in the BMSSC Classic Championship at the Bloemfontein Metallic Silhouette Shooting Club in Bloemfontein. Here she, once again, proved to be a sure shot, bringing home multiple medals.
Miss van Eck was awarded a silver medal in the ‘Small Bore Revolver (A class), bronze in the Small Bore Standing (A class), gold in the Small Bore Unlimited (B class), silver in the Small Bore Rifle Light (M class), silver in the Small Bore Rifle Silhouette (A class), silver in the Small Bore Rifle Light Open Sight (I class), gold in the Production Air Rifle Standing (M class), bronze in the Small Bore Rifle Silhouette Open Sight (Overall) and gold in the Air Rifle Spring Loaded (Overall).
