Regional A Arts Qualifier. Dance Excellence, Lia Schmidt (Grade 8).
This past weekend, Lia Schmidt represented York High School with distinction at the Regional A Arts Qualifier in the Championship-level dance section.
Her performance was nothing short of outstanding, earning an incredible 11 A+ awards and 2 special awards. Lia’s artistry and skill were further recognized with multiple trophies:
- 🏆 Best Acrobatic Dancer – highest solo score of 92%
- 🏆 Best Character Dancer
- 🏆 Best Lyrical Duet
- 🏆 Best Acrobatic Duet
Adding to this remarkable achievement, Lia has now qualified to compete at the prestigious A Arts National Rise to Fame Competition in 2027.
