SA Regional Level 3 swim. St Andrew’s School, Bloemfontein, proudly celebrates the achievements of Evin de Jager at the recent SA Regionals held in Bloemfontein.
Evin showcased remarkable determination and talent throughout the competition. He swam an incredible 26 prelims, with only the top 10 swimmers advancing to the afternoon finals. Impressively, he qualified for the finals in all his events.
Competing in 8 individual events and participating in relays, Evin swam a total of 16 races. Specializing as a breaststroker, he delivered a standout performance in the 200m Boys U16, where he dropped a phenomenal 12 seconds off his time.
His efforts contributed to team success as well. Evin and his teammates earned a bronze medal in the relay, and in the Medley 4x50m relay, they stunned the competition by cutting 12 seconds off their time to secure another bronze medal.
Evin’s achievements at such a young age reflect not only his talent but also his dedication and sportsmanship. St Andrew’s School is immensely proud of his accomplishments and looks forward to seeing his swimming career continue to flourish.
