Science Project Olympiad. Curro Durbanville High School is proud to announce that Milla Vorster (Grade 11) has been selected to represent South Africa at the World Innovative Science Project Olympiad (WISPO), taking place in Bali, Indonesia, from 10–13 December 2025.
Milla earned this prestigious opportunity after winning a Gold Medal at the Eskom Expo International Science Fair. Her groundbreaking research project, “The Organic Palette: Bioprinting Vascularized Organs”, explores the production of vascularised tissues through 3D bioprinting. This innovative work holds immense promise for future medical applications, including organ transplantation, surgical training, and drug testing.
She will join a four-member South African team at WISPO, showcasing her talent on the global stage.
