Fifteen-year-old Asher Hollister from Kearsney College, KwaZulu-Natal, continues to impress on the fairways, showcasing his talent and consistency during the recent school holidays.
Competing against the country’s top junior golfers at the prestigious SA Schools Golf Championship held at Orkney Golf Club in the North West Province, Asher delivered a composed and competitive performance. He finished in a tie for eighth place—an outstanding result in a field packed with national-level talent.
Although he narrowly missed automatic selection for the SA Schools Golf team due to a countout, Asher’s efforts earned him a well-deserved spot as a reserve. His placement reflects both his growing stature in junior golf and his potential to break into the national ranks in the near future.
