The Grantleigh U/13 Girls’ Football team has once again showcased their exceptional talent and unwavering determination, clinching the championship title at the Grantleigh U13 Girls held in Felixton on Saturday, 22 August 2025.
Remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament, the team demonstrated a remarkable blend of skill, strategy, and composure under pressure. After a strong showing in the group stages, Grantleigh advanced to the semi-finals, where they faced Rhinoveld in a nail-biting encounter. The match ended in a goalless draw, leading to a tense penalty shootout in which Grantleigh emerged victorious with a 2–1 win.
The final saw Grantleigh go head-to-head against Richards Bay Primary A. Once again, the match concluded in a 0–0 draw, and the championship was decided by penalties. With nerves of steel, Grantleigh secured a thrilling 4–3 victory to lift the trophy.
