In a heartwarming and vibrant all-school assembly, Grantleigh School, Richards Bay, celebrated the dedication and service of staff members who have gone above and beyond in their roles, with special focus on those who have been with the institution for 5, 10, 15, and 20 years.

More than 700 students gathered in the school’s assembly hall to take part in the celebration. They filled the air with excitement and school spirit. Together, they worshipped, practiced the school’s spirit anthems, and cheered on the staff members who have shaped their educational experiences.

The prestigious Long Service Awards were given to staff members in recognition of their years of commitment and service to Grantleigh School.

Those honoured include:
20 Years of Service:

  • Lete Mngomezulu
  • Sabelo Mbogeni
  • Pheteni Sibiya
  • Lise Harrison

15 Years of Service:

  • Leanne Bishop
  • Nkosinathi Mthembu
  • Ronietha Kommer

10 Years of Service:

  • Fiona Kruger
  • Nerine le Roux
  • Sibusiso Hlabisa
  • Thomas Tembe

5 Years of Service:

  • Chijoke Peter
  • Ilsa Morassi
  • Chanel Cronje
  • Thabani Gumede

Among these exceptional individuals, a special mention goes to Mrs. Lise Harrison, Head of Preschool at Loerie’s Nest Preschool, for her extraordinary 20 years of service at Grantleigh. As the first and only School Head of the preschool, Mrs. Harrison has been an integral part of the school’s foundation and has shaped the educational paths of countless students. Many current students, up to the Matric level, had their early education nurtured by her thoughtful leadership.
“Mrs. Harrison’s contribution to our community cannot be overstated,” said Principal [Name]. “She has provided an unparalleled educational foundation for our youngest learners and continues to inspire excellence in all of us. Her passion, commitment, and love for teaching are evident in everything she does.”

The assembly was a powerful reminder of the unwavering dedication of the staff at Grantleigh School and the profound impact they have on the lives of their students. Today’s celebration not only honored the years of service but also strengthened the school’s sense of unity and school spirit, with students and staff alike coming together to celebrate the shared mission of excellence in education.
