Tie and Blazer Ceremony. “It’s our roots that really give us our identity.” — Rosalía. A part of the roots at Grey College is the illustrious sight of the Grey College tie and blazer. Yesterday the Grade 8 learners had the privige to experience the Tie and Blazer Ceremony.

A part of Grey College’ identity is being a Grey Gentleman, and a gentleman wears a tie and blazer.

“Today, we welcome the Grade 8 group with our grade 12 leaders handing over of their Grey College ties and blazers. They officially join the Grey College fraternity. We hope each of you will wear your tie and blazer with pride. You must be eager to put them on every day. Embrace every opportunity and provide direction and guidance in every situation you encounter.”

As from yesterday, they may also use the Grey Handshake and recognize the responsibility that rests on their shoulders—to continue being a beacon of light in the world.

“May today’s message of “Go out there and overcome your Goliath” and “Do as much as possible for Grey College so that you may take as much as possible away” resonate for years to come.”
